Hi guys
Time to start dividing our topics into corresponding blogs.
Yes, im neurotic.
I will try to post some pics of the current state my dac is in.
mmm. seeems to work
Well, its still not as nice from the outside as wybe's dac is but i love the space.
Must give a very airy sound ;)
Oh, and notice the hight tech aesthetic approved feet, they will definitly decouple all sound :)
One look from above.
The real casing will even be larger... if it will ever get finished
What a time consuming hobby this is.
Cheers
It looks to me fantastic and I hope to have a chance to hear this airy sound very soon.
How are you doing on this voltages that were not exactly as determined?
Hey, what I wanted to share is with you was the Colofonium.
Probably you are using already some kind of substitute.
However, if you asked me, I would always had next to me a Colofonim and flood my solder gun with it before touching any element.
It floods tin very nicely and gives a shiny surface. (If it doesn't shine, than the solder was overheated).
Check this:

By the way, what is this green cable doing in our DAC?
The Colofonim is often included in the core of soldering wire, but it can have advantages to apply it separately.
